For Thursday (September 30th)

•Make a 11 x 17 poster that uses color to convey feeling.

-Think about the readings we have done so far.
-make a color bar (palette) and show it to me on Tuesday.
-For Thursday it needs to be printed out. You can print images out at, it's between the Burger King and the 7 Eleven and costs under 5 dollars.
-It can include found web imagery, photographs taken by you and digitally produced text and imagery.

•Don't forget you also need to do the research paper.

For Tuesday September 21st

•Take one logo, print it, trace it, scan it. (grayscale and/or posterize as needed)

•Take the logo and change it in 3 ways. Change its value, its saturation and its hue. (look up definitions in Fehrman chapter 1 if needed).

•Read chapter 2 of Fehrman.

•Research Paper is due soon. WORK ON IT.

•5 Logos, with palettes.
-1 inch high, 10 inches long.
-left to right, most color to least.
-compile into 1 .jpeg or photoshop file, 5 pairings: logo with sampled palette.

What is Color Theory?

Write a research paper on color theory – its history and various systems. Create a well-written and well-designed document, which incorporates graphic elements and examples to indicate your awareness of issues, concepts, and various theories. The final document should be five pages long excluding cover page and bibliography.
